Fictioning Palestine
Fictioning Palestine explores the potentials and limits of the productive power of storytelling, tracing how Palestine is imagined, recreated, and adapted in fictional works. While much of Palestinian cinema has taken the form of documentary—seeking to record history and affirm existence—these works turn to fiction to show what has not been filmed, to reimagine inaccessible places, and to interpret histories through invented worlds. Moving between documentary and fiction, they point to a past and a future shaped by the political force of memory, imagination, and world-making.
The opening will include a screening of the film THE DUPES (1972) by Tewfik Saleh
